One day, our founders were out fly fishing for redfish in the coastal flats of Port Aransas, TX. Glassy water, no wind, good company, and a skiff that felt like you were floating on the clouds reflecting off the water. A perfect day. Not because they had an incredible catch, but because of the feeling that this day of fishing was different. They had been to the coast just like this, dozens of times, but it was never like this. They don’t know why, but the entire day they just kept feeling the presence of God like He was really there in Port Aransas, on their skiff, fishing with them. They wondered why every day out on the water, in the field, up in the mountains couldn’t feel like this. Feeling God’s presence in the outdoors. We love the outdoors because that’s where we go for silence, adventure, and to have a good time with friends. And, most importantly, to be in His presence.
